OnCore Golf Forms Partnership With the Rochester District Golf Association

OnCore Golf logoOnCore Golf and the Rochester District Golf Association have teamed up to introduce OnCore’s new experimental tour ball to players in the Rochester community. Golfers around the country are becoming increasingly familiar with OnCore’s ELIXR tour ball, a two-time 2020 Gold winner on the Golf Digest Hot List awards, but their soon to be released VERO X1 is in a league of its own.  This 4 piece, cast urethane cover tour ball features a large proprietary mantle layer, allowing for increased perimeter weighting and more forgiveness off the tee. Its unique design creates faster ball speeds, lower driver spin and increased launch trajectory for significantly greater overall distance. A thinner cover gives it more check and spin around the greens without sacrificing durability.

“We are excited to introduce our community of avid golfers to a local company in Buffalo, producing world class golf ball designs” commented Tim Vangellow, RDGA Executive Director.  “Upstate New York has historically been a region of innovators with some of the world’s most disruptive companies being started here – from Kodak and Xerox to Curtis Wright and Bell Aerospace – so it’s no surprise that some of the most technologically advanced golf balls are being brought to market by a company from Western New York.”

“We feel very fortunate to be able to work with the RDGA, which has a long history of fostering competitive golf and supporting talented golfers as they mature in their playing careers.” remarked Steve Coulton, OnCore’s cofounder.  “Rochester has been the home of the US Open, the Ryder Cup, the PGA Championship, the Senior PGA Championship, the LPGA Championship, and many others.  There is both a rich history and great concentration and enthusiasm for golf in the region and we’re thrilled to be partnering with the RDGA.”
