As with most of the local community, this year has proven to be very challenging when scheduling public events amidst the COVID-19 outbreak. The RDGA has also been monitoring the current health crisis on a daily basis with an eye towards the health and safety of our Members and Member Clubs. Already this year, we have had to cancel the RDGA Junior Classic on May 9, and postpone the RDGA Two Person Scramble to June 20. All three local and sectional USGA Qualifiers originally scheduled for 2020 have also been cancelled.
Because we have not fully received clearance to conduct the 2020 RDGA Match Play and Senior Match Play Championships on the originally scheduled dates of May 29-31, we have also had to confirm new dates for this event. This Championship event will now take place from Friday, July 31 through Sunday, August 2. The Golf Club at Blue Heron Hills will remain the host site.
- If you are registered and currently in the starting field for either the Match Play or Senior Match Play bracket and still wish to play, you do not need to do anything – you will remain in the field for the new dates. However, if you cannot play on the new dates, you have the option of receiving a full refund of your entry fee. Please contact us at: info@RDGA.org if you need to withdraw and we will make the arrangements.
- If you are currently on the waitlist for either the Match Play or Senior Match Play bracket and wish to play on the new dates, you will be added to the field if there are vacancies due to registered players withdrawing. Players will be added to the field in the order in which they were placed on the waitlist and their credit cards will be charged for the entry fee at the time they are added. However, if you are currently on the waitlist but cannot play on the new dates, contact us at info@RDGA.org and you will be removed and your credit card will not be charged.
- If you are eligible to enter the Match Play Championship (male RDGA GHIN members with a Handicap Index of 9.9 or less) and would like to be placed on the event waitlist, you may CLICK HERE to do so.
