Rochester District Golf Association golfers have many exciting tournament options this year on the 2020 RDGA Tournament Schedule – and registration for most events is now open!

Highlights of the 2020 RDGA Tournament Schedule include:
- The RDGA’s flagship event – the RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial – returns to Oak Hill Country Club for the first time in 10 years. Scheduled for July 22-25, Oak Hill’s impressive Donald Ross-designed West Course will host the area’s top men amateurs. Exempt players can register now; those who earn spots in the District Championship Qualifiers can register beginning June 13.
- Speaking of the District Championship Qualifiers, two are scheduled this year – one, at Chili Country Club on Saturday, June 20 and the second at Reservoir Creek Golf Club on Wednesday, June 24.
- The RDGA’s annual championship for men over the age of 55 is back and with a new name – the RDGA Wilson Fitch Senior Championship, honoring the past President and long-time RDGA volunteer Wilson Fitch and hosted by Stafford Country Club on August 20 and 21.
- The RDGA Match Play Championships are being hosted by the Golf Club at Blue Heron Hills on May 29-31 and will include both men’s and senior divisions. Registration for the top 32 point winners (men’s and seniors) from 2020 is open now; registration opens for all remaining spots on May 1.
- The RDGA Mid Amateur Championship, for male golfers ages 25 and above, visits Clifton Springs Country Club on August 14 and 15.
- The popular RDGA Women’s Open, celebrating women’s golf in Rochester, will by hosted by Brook-Lea Country Club on Monday, August 31.
- The 2020 RDGA Junior Championships – featuring 36-hole stroke-play championships for both GIRLS and BOYS in three separate age divisions – happens at Mendon Golf Club on July 14 and 15.
- A number of non-championship events are also in this year’s tournament lineup, led by the popular RDGA Play Day at Irondequoit Country Club (September 28), as well as the annual Two-Person Scramble (Wayne Hills Country Club – May 16) and the Richard Wood Senior Best Ball (Ravenwood Golf Club – July 9).
Also this year, the RDGA will be conducting three Local and Sectional Qualifiers for USGA Championships, including:
- The U.S. Open Local Qualifier, at Ravenwood Golf Club (May 4)
- The U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifier at Mill Creek Golf Club (July 6)
- The U.S. Senior Amateur Sectional Qualifier at Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club (July 28)
And that’s not all – information and registration for more RDGA tournaments will be released soon, including:
- The RDGA Women’s Championship
- The RDGA Junior Classic
- The NEW Upstate Junior Team Classic
- AND – the NEW RDGA Foundation Tournament at Monroe Golf Club!
