Tim grew up in Pittsford and was fortunate to be a member of Monroe Golf Club as a youth, where he learned the game of golf, and participated in RDGA junior events.  At 16, he worked his first golf job at Oak Hill in the bag room, during the 1989 PGA Championship.  Was a member and Captain of the Pittsford Southerland Golf team.  Attended college at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida.

During summers in college Tim began working in pro shop at Shadow Lake.  Following college, he became Sports and Golf Club Director at the brand new Lodge at Woodcliff for a year before returning to Shadow Pines Golf Club, serving for over ten years as Director of Golf Operations.  Working in the Dolomite organization, who were owners of Shadow Lake and Pines was a truly wonderful experience.  Also during this time Tim became involved with Monroe County Special Olympics and helped develop MCSO Golf and its Level II Golf competition, receiving a special award for helping this great program.

Following this Tim was Golf Director at Churchville Golf Course in the first year of operations under Jack Tindale Inc., for one season.  After this Tim spent ten years owning his own promotional products business called Great Lakes Custom Products in Rochester, NY.  During this time he became a partner in developing and managing The Rochester Golf Show, held each year in February for over 10 years.  Being a part of the Golf Show allowed him to ‘keep in touch with the game and the Rochester Golf Community’.

During these Golf Show years, Tim got to work with the RDGA who were active in the Golf Show.  At this same time Tim was wanting to return to working in the Rochester golf community.  The RDGA was beginning to look at hiring a professional staff and an opportunity was found for both.  Tim joined the RDGA in 2010 and continues his work there to this day.  Working at the RDGA has been a fantastic experience and Tim hopes to remain there for a very long time.

Tim resides in Penfield and enjoys spending time with his son and daughter.
