As part of a growing effort to promote golf throughout Western New York, the Rochester District Golf Association will be partnering with the Buffalo District Golf Association this summer to host an exciting new team event – with bragging rights up for grabs between the top clubs in the Buffalo and Rochester areas!

Scheduled for Sunday, July 31 at Terry Hills Golf Course in Batavia, the 2016 BDGA-RDGA Team Event is open to four-person teams (team members must be from the same club) – with competition for both men’s and women’s divisions. Players must be amateurs with active USGA GHIN Handicap Indexes from either the RDGA or BDGA.

The format for this fun event will count the 3 best scores (out of 4) per hole from each team, with the winning teams in each of the men’s and women’s divisions having the lowest total score for 18 holes. Terry Hills offers a great venue for this fun event not only for it’s challenging course, but for it’s convenient location between the two districts.

The entry fee for this event will be $300 per four-person team and includes golf, riding cart, delicious hors d’oeuvres following play and an opportunity to socialize with friends old and new, as well as trophies and prizes – not to mention the honor of taking the BDGA-RDGA Team Trophy back to your club for “bragging rights” for the next year!

The entry deadline for this event is July 25 with special practice round dates available, on July 3, 10 and 17, to contestants for $30 per person for 18 holes and cart (a $45 value).
