RDGA Tournament Registration Now Open

As of February 15, ALL 2018 RDGA Tournaments
are now open for registration to RDGA Members!

To enter an RDGA Tournament, a player must be a member of an official RDGA Member Club (CLICK HERE to see a list of RDGA Member Clubs) – OR, join the RDGA eClub, which is open to ALL golfers, male or female, who do not hold membership at a RDGA Member Club. All skill levels are welcome. Junior golfers ages 17 or younger may join the Junior RDGA eClub at no cost!

The 2018 RDGA Tournament Schedule begins on April 30 at Ridgemont Country Club with the first of five Play Days – casual competitions open to men and women and flighted based on USGA GHIN Handicaps – and concludes just over five months later with the year’s fifth RDGA Play Day at Irondequoit Country Club on October 1. From start to finish, there are 25 events on this year’s schedule.

Once again, there are three USGA Local and Sectional Qualifiers on our Tournament Schedule for 2018 – a U.S. Open Local Qualifier, a U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifier and a U.S. Senior Amateur Sectional Qualifier – however, registration for these events must be completed through the USGA.org website.

Registration for ALL RDGA tournaments opens February 15, and closes one week before the scheduled date of each event. AND, as a reminder, in order to register, players MUST COMPLETE the FREE Tournament Player Profile through the USGA Tournament Management system.

Highlights of the 2018 RDGA Tournament Schedule include:

  • NEW THIS YEAR is the RDGA Net Championship – a two-day, flighted, handicapped event, to be hosted by Ravenwood Golf Club on August 7-8. ALL ages and abilities – men and women – are welcome to enter.
  • The RDGA’s flagship event – the RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial – returns to Monroe Golf Club, a meticulously-restored Donald Ross design, on July 24-28, 2018. This will be the 10th time that the District Championship has been hosted by Monroe – and the first time since 2002.
  • The RDGA Senior Championships will be hosted by another great local Donald Ross course – Irondequoit Country Club – on August 28 and 29, 2018 – featuring a two-day, 36-hole stroke-play tournament and winners in four separate age flights as well as an overall champion.
  • The RDGA Match Play Championship is being hosted by the historic Stafford Country Club on May 25-27, 2018, and will include both Men’s and Senior Divisions for pre-qualified players, based on tournament points earned last season.
  • The RDGA Mid Amateur Championship, for male golfers ages 25 and above, visits the scenic Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club – overlooking the shores of Lake Ontario – on August 17 and 18, 2018.
  • The popular RDGA Women’s Open, celebrating women’s golf in Rochester, will return in 2018 for the fourth year in a row. Hosting the Women’s Open this year is the beautifully-maintained Ridgemont Country Club, scheduled for September 17.
  • The third annual RDGA Women’s Four Person Team Scramble visits Mendon Golf Club on June 10, 2018.
  • The 2018 RDGA Junior Tournament schedule – including medal events for Boys and Girls Juniors (15-17), Sub-Juniors (12-14) and Pee Wees (7-11) – leads up to the RDGA Junior Championships at Ontario Country Club on July 31 through August 2.
