The Rochester District Golf Association is here to help junior golfers learn, play and improve – and ultimately, become golfers for life. We are proud to be teaming up with U.S. Kids Golf, the Western New York PGA Junior Golf Tour, the RDGA Foundation, Inc. and the USGA to promote junior golf throughout the area this year – including our own schedule of RDGA Junior Tournaments!

There are MANY options for local juniors – boys and girls – to play this year, including:
RDGA JUNIOR TOURNAMENTS: Beginning with our Junior Classic and Pee Wee Classic events in early summer, to the RDGA Junior Championship in August, RDGA Junior events are a fun, affordable way to introduce juniors to golf competition! Pee Wee events are open to juniors ages 7 through 11; juniors ages 12 through 14 compete in our Sub Junior events and ages 15 through 18 play in our Junior competitions – and top players are invited to play in the prestigious Williamson Cup Matches, as well as the annual Interdistrict Junior Championship against other juniors from Buffalo and Syracuse. FORESIGHT: The ForeSight Junior Golf Program is an annual program offered by the RDGA Foundation, Inc. – in conjunction with the RDGA, the Monroe County Parks Department and area School Districts – that serves to introduce golf to area juniors who show an interest in the game. The program begins in early May and runs throughout the summer and includes FREE instructional clinics, FREE play at the Monroe County Parks Golf Courses and FREE casual competitions. U.S. KIDS GOLF LOCAL TOUR: For six weeks each Spring and six weeks each Fall, the RDGA welcomes the U.S. Kids Golf Tour to the Rochester area for a fun, casual series of 9 and 18 hole tournaments on some of the area’s top courses! There are several age groups represented in each of these events, beginning as early as 6 and including all ages up to 14. CLICK HERE for more, including registration information.
WNYPGA JUNIOR GOLF TOUR: The WNYPGA Junior Golf Tour provides an opportunity for juniors to experience camaraderie, friendship, and sportsmanship at a series of premier venues throughout the Western New York Section of the PGA of America. Players in all divisions will compete in a season long points race to qualify for the season ending Junior Golf Tour Championship. The WNYPGA Junior Tour is open to juniors residing within the boundaries of the WNYPGA Section beginning at age 10 and including those who have not reached their 19th birthday before August 9, 2018. USGA QUALIFIERS: Each year, the USGA conducts two Sectional Qualifiers in Upstate New York, where top finishers advance to either the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship of the U.S. Girls Junior Amateur Championship. Also, the Rochester area hosts at least one local qualifier for the annual Drive, Chip and Putt competition, with the opportunity to advance to the national finals the following spring at Augusta National, home of the Masters!
