The RDGA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 Induction Ceremony is Tuesday, July 14 at Monroe Golf Club!
I wanted to let you know about a great event we have upcoming!
It is our Annual RDGA Hall of Fame Event. It is being held this year on Tuesday July 14 at Monroe Golf Club beginning at 6:00 PM. Tickets are on sale on the RDGA website.
This year’s Hall of Fame Celebration will feature 5 Inductees:
John Calabria
William “Bill” Chapin
Bobby Hill
The Ryan Family
Christy Schultz

This will be our FIFTH Annual Hall of Fame Induction Celebration. The past 4 have been fantastic!

As I have been preparing for this event I have gotten to know a lot about the inductees and their contributions to our great golf community. I am simply astonished at all 5 inductees and all they have accomplished:
- John Calabria was a magnificent player and was a friend and mentor to many golfers – especially those at Brook-Lea, where he served as the Head Professional for many years.
- William “Bill” Chapin helped land the 1956 US Open at Oak Hill. He had a cocktail party at his house that week and had some incredible guests attend – you will hear more about that at the event!
- Bobby Hill’s accomplishments were unbelievable! As a player, teacher, entrepreneur, he helped found and build what is now Deerfield Country Club. Come hear about his remarkable life!
- Cristy Schultz is one of the best female amateur golfers ever in Rochester – and has won an amazing 9 New York State Championships. And come hear how she has plans for an Act 2 in her playing career now that her kids are growing up!
- The Ryan Family has been deeply involved in Rochester golf for decades. They are also some truly special people. Come hear about the individual family members and their ties to Rochester’s golf history, and learn about why our RDGA Championship honors John Ryan Jr.
The night’s schedule goes like this: Open bar and HD’s on the back veranda and 18th lawn beginning at 6:00 pm. At 7:00 pm we move inside the main ballroom and begin the inductions.
After the inductions we re-open the bar and serve desserts as we celebrate with our inductees.
We hope you will join us at Monroe Golf Club on Tuesday, July 14 for a memorable evening!
