The RDGA Foundation works with numerous programs and organizations in the Rochester area. We would like to to recognize several special partners with whom we have an elevated level of collaboration – and who really help make a big difference in our great golf community.
Monroe Invitational
Since its inception in 1923, Monroe Golf Club has long been regarded as one of the premier private clubs in Rochester and throughout Western New York. The club’s award-winning Donald Ross designed golf course is viewed by many as one of the most classic and preserved layouts from Mr. Ross’s original designs. Monroe Golf Club has been ranked as a Top 20 course in New York State by Top 100 Golf Courses and named one of America’s top 100 Classic Courses by Golfweek. Monroe hosted the LPGA Championship, a major on the women’s tour, in 2014.
Oak Hill Foundation
The Oak Hill Foundation’s mission is to promote and support amateur sports as an embodiment of the traditions and values that are unique to golf. Our reach will include young men and women from all walks of life in the Rochester community and beyond. The Foundation will protect and preserve the historical legacy of Oak Hill Country Club, a National Register of Historic Places property, as well as other historically significant properties. Through these efforts, the joy of golf, its values, history, architecture, grounds, and facilities will live on for future generations. The Oak Hill Foundation is willing to help other clubs, and/or golf-oriented organizations, understand how we might utilize the OHF to raise funds for historical projects they might have.
First Tee Box
Western New York empowers children and teens through the game of golf, helping them build character, confidence, and lifelong skills. Our programs are active, fun, and rooted in First Tee’s Key Commitments— Being a Game Changer, Pursuing goals, growing through challenges, collaborating with others, and building positive self identity and using good judgment. By combining the fundamentals of golf with life skills and values, we create a supportive environment where young people can thrive on and off the course. Serving youth across Western New York, we are committed to providing inclusive and accessible opportunities that positively impact participants, families, and the communities we serve.
