RDGA Announces New
Appointments
Tom Ziegler, a past RDGA
President in 1992, has been appointed to fill a one year unexpired term on the
RDGA Board of Directors. He will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of
Hal Bolles. James Cook, the current RDGA President, announced the appointment
today.
Ziegler a long time member at
Ridgemont C.C. and an active participant in RDGA golf tournaments, served eight
years on the Executive Committee, culminating with his presidency in 1992.
Following that, he served another eight years on the Board of Directors.
The current Board members are
Chairman, Richard Wood, Churchville G.C., Alan Pritchard, Sodus Bay Heights G.C.,
James Johnson, Livingston C.C., Wilson Fitch, Ontario G.C., and Ziegler. The
Board of Directors is typically comprised of the immediate five past presidents
who wish to serve for a three-year term. Vacancies that may occur due to
resignations, relocation or other factors are filled through appointments of
past presidents by the current RDGA President.

The Rochester District Golf
Association has announced that Richard Wood, past RDGA President in 2005, and
Jack Harrison, the newest RDGA Executive Committee member elected at the October
10 Fall Roundup Meeting, have been appointed Acting Handicap Services Duties
created by the resignation of Hal Bolles.
In Course Rating news, Dick
Frank, former RDGA President in 1997 and his wife Judy, long active with the
WRDGA, have been appointed to handle the Course Rating Services of the RDGA,
effective immediately. Members at Sodus Bay Heights GC, the Franks have
Extensive experience as course raters and team leaders in the greater Rochester
area.
All scheduled course ratings
for 2005 were completed and the Franks are already planning the scheduling of
course ratings for clubs in 2006. All inquires concerning activities in 2006
should be directed to the RDGA Office and will be coordinated with Dick and Judy
Frank.
The RDGA is pleased to have
these talented individuals accept the responsibilities of these important club
services.
The RDGA is the authorized
representative of the USGA in the Greater Rochester area to administer the USGA
