Qualifiers Slated for June 26-27
Entry Deadline Extended to
June 20, 1 PM. Openings Still Exist for Both Divisions.
Rochester NY. June 16, 2006 – The RDGA John H. Ryan
Jr. Memorial Championship Qualifiers are to take place on Monday June 26 at
Wayne Hills Country Club and Tuesday June 27 at Lake Shore Country Club. These
events are open to all members of the Rochester District Golf Association who
are in good standing. These scratch qualifying rounds will add participants
from the 65 member clubs all over the Rochester and Western New York area to
determine the field for the John H. Ryan District Championship to take place on
July 12-15 at the Country Club of Mendon.
The RDGA Blue Division will qualify at Wayne Hills Country
Club and the RDGA Green Division will qualify at Lake Shore Country Club.
An aggregate total of 96 players will vie for the RDGA
Championship at the Country Club of Mendon in mid-July.
Deadline Extended – The RDGA has extended the
deadline for entry into the qualifying tournaments until Tuesday June 20 at
1PM. Entry fees and complete entry forms must be received in the RDGA office by
1PM on Tuesday, June 20. No exceptions. This extended deadline is being
offered so that the maximum number of participants can enter the qualifiers,
which will enhance the championship field.
