Bolton, Stuart Champs

The RDGA Held its first ever Mid-Handicap Event in grand style at beautiful Midvale Country Club.  The day was a gorgeous sunny Monday and the golf played by the participants was outstanding.

Wendy Bolton of the Rochester Chapter of the Executive Womens Golf League won the Ladies Division with a net +5 score.

James Stuart of Shadow Pines won the Mens Division with a great score of net -5.  Both won very nice plaques and nice prizes as our Mid-Hdcp. Champions.

Mid-Handicap means those players with indexes of 10.0 or higher.  The RDGA received input from many golfers in the area requesting that a top tournament be held for players other than scratch players, and the RDGA agreed.  The result was a great field of 85 players, and an outstanding event.

As players departed from Midvale, the RDGA was asked repeatedly to be sure to host more of these events for Mid-Handicappers.  It is our plan to do so in 2012.
