The 2011 RDGA District Championship Comes to a Close
Kircher and Fuss come away with the titles after four rounds of great golf.
Last week at the Country Club of Rochester, the RDGA held its annual Rochester District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial. With over 120 participants, both men and women, the four days of golf were very competitive and great golf was the final result.
In the Men’s division, District Champion John Kircher, of Monroe G.C., added his fourth win this year by finishing with an impressive one over par 281. His fight for the win was close all week, but Kircher managed to finish with an eight stroke lead over Wild Wood’s Alex Weir (+9).
In the women's division, Oak Hill’s Danielle Fuss (+31) ran away with the Championship by scoring 16 strokes lower than the runner up, Ravenwood’s Emma Ritzmann.
This year’s tournament was a great success.
We want to thank CCR for their hospitality, the players for great golf, and our volunteers for coming together to make the tournament run smoothly. We hope to see everyone again at future tournaments to come.
