Battle, Neal, Cook Senior Champs

Mark Battle of Ravenwood Golf Club won the RDGA Senior Championship, held August 18-20th, at Clifton Springs Country Club.
Battle posted impressive rounds of 71-72-68=211, dueling in the final round with second place finisher Steve Puccia of Webster Golf Club.
Puccia finished with scores of 73-69-73=215.
Battle's victory was very popular among the players and he was congratulated by many following the final round. The RDGA is proud to have Mark as our 2010 Senior Champion.
Donivan Neal of Brookwoods Country Club emerged as the RDGA Super Senior Champion, winning by four shots over Fred Allen of Canandaigua Country Club, with rounds of 80-80-77=237.
Neal finished the final nine in a close contest strongly to take the crown. Neal also served as Tournament Chairman, putting in lots of work around his golf to make the event so successful.
The RDGA is proud of Don's accomplishment.
Our 2010 Super Super Senior Champion for 2010 is Jim Cook, of Stafford Country Club. Cook fired an outstanding final round 78 to go with earlier 85-81= 244 total. Second place was Jerry Stahl of Oak Hill with scores of 85-82-78=245, in a wonderful showing. The RDGA is pleased with the great play by Jim.
We thank the staff and membership at Clifton Springs for an outstanding Championship. The golf course was in fantastic condition. Special thanks also to John Fox, RDGA President, for making the Championship a success, and to the other RDGA Volunteers, who worked during the week doing the many tasks needed to manage a first-class event.
