Dave joined the RDGA Staff in 2014 following a 25-year career as the Editor of Rochester Golf Week newspaper, becoming the Communications Director for the District.
Dave was introduced to the game at a young age by his father and has been an avid supporter of golf ever since – both as a fan and a player. Among his earliest golfing memories was watching Jack Nicklaus win the 1980 PGA Championship at Oak Hill. During his years with Rochester Golf Week, Dave had the opportunity to report from several world-class events, both near and far, including 3 U.S. Opens, 4 PGA Championships, 3 Ryder Cup Matches as well as many PGA Tour and LPGA tournaments.
At the RDGA, Dave manages all forms of internal and external communications, including the RDGA website, newsletters and promotional campaigns, as well as Member and Member Club relations, Corporate Partner relations and Media relations. During the golf season, he also assists with tournament operations, including event setup and scoring.
Dave lives in Chili with his wife and enjoys spending time in the Finger Lakes during the Summer months at their camp.
