The Rochester District Golf Association is embarking on a number of efforts in 2016 to grow the game of golf. Among these efforts includes increasing the number of junior golfers in the area who have USGA Handicaps. As an integral part of this effort, the RDGA is launching our Junior Handicap Initiative this month.
Parents, did you know that the RDGA does not charge a fee for golfers ages 17 and under to have an official GHIN Handicap? Any RDGA Member Club can add a junior golfer to its GHIN system – free of charge – by adding the player’s date of birth, and “type J” when entering a new junior golfer. The RDGA will continue to provide this service throughout 2016 so that we can increase the number of juniors signing up at any of our Member Clubs.
