Old Hickory to Host RDGA Two-Person Four-Ball

Next Saturday, May 9, Old Hickory Golf Club, above, will host the annual RDGA Two Person Four Ball.

If you missed registering for our season-opening Two Person Scramble, all is not lost – coming up next Saturday, May 9, is our next team event of the year, the Two Person Four Ball, hosted by Old Hickory Golf Club in Livonia.

Open to all golfers with a current RDGA-USGA GHIN Handicap – men and women – the cost to enter is $140 per two-person team and includes cart, golf and prizes. Following play, contestants will be treated to a deliciously-prepared steak dinner!

Unlike the Two Person Scramble, the Two Person Four Ball format allows each player to play their own ball, with the best score of the two players counting as the team score on each hole.

Flights for this event will based on the current lowest RDGA/USGA Handicap Index of the team members and – in addition to prizes – each member of the overall winning Men’s Division team playing from the Blue Tees at 6,592 yards (plus ties, regardless of flight) earns an exemption to the 2015 RDGA District Championship – John H. Ryan Memorial in July.

Also – JUST ADDED – for those men’s teams not playing for the the Ryan Memorial exemption – a White Tee division, with yardage of 6,245.

In the Women’s Flight, prizes will be awarded to the teams with the low Net score and the low Gross score.

Located just 20 minutes south of Rochester, Livonia’s Old Hickory Golf Club celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2014. The course plays to 6,592 yards from the Blue Tees and 5,115 yards from the Red Tees and is characterized by the rolling, wooded hills of the Genesee Valley region.

The deadline to enter the Two Person Four Ball is this Wednesday, May 6. For more information about this event – including how to register – click HERE.
